EDPLIT is not the original developer or manufacturer of the socket mechanisms themselves. For our installations, we use high-quality, EU certified internal components: Berker mechanisms for sockets. This ensures full compatibility, safety, and long-term performance.

Recommendation from EDPLIT: We recommend purchasing the version with consumables, as in our experience, craftsmen sometimes do not have the necessary tools to properly work with this product.

To create the tile insert, use the included adhesive template to mark the cut-out precisely.

Recommended tools:

  • Diamond Hole Saw Ø42mm for Socket Installation or Edplit Socket Cutting Kit (can be found in our add-ons).
  • Tile engraver: Standard rotary engraver, milling cutter, or the recommended Edplit
  • Tile Engraver ensures precise and clean cuts suitable for ceramics, porcelain, and stone.
  • Waterjet cutting: Provides highly accurate and smooth cutting. Ideal for projects with premium tiles or natural stone.
  • Adhesive template:The kit includes adhesive templates
  • Glue: PU glue

The system is compatible with:
Ceramic tiles (6-14 mm)
Porcelain tiles (6-14 mm)

How It Works

STEP 1

Transferring the Markings

Transfer the markings from the template sticker onto the wall at the desired installation location. Templates can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, depending on the layout.

STEP 2

Preparing the Tools for Cutting Openings

For the socket:

  • Plated diamond drill Ø6 mm – for the pin holes
  • Plated diamond drill Ø42 mm – for the cover hole
  • Disc and milling bits – for cutting the square opening and corners

STEP 3

Preparing the Tile and Mechanisms

 Socket:

  • Glue the socket mechanism to the tile.
    (We recommend using a two-component polyurethane adhesive.)
  • If the tile thickness is between 6 and 12 mm:
  • Sand down the socket frame to 6 mm using the special template included in the kit
  • Also sand the round part of the socket down to 2 mm


Switch:

  • No sanding of the tile is required
  • The switch buttons include adjustment screws that allow precise alignment with the surface of the tile

After adjustment, glue the tile-button onto the plastic mechanism

STEP 4

Wall Installation

Socket:

  • Install the socket by screwing it into the frame that has already been attached to the back of the tile
  • The frame has a thickness adjustment feature, allowing you to align the tile element flush with the main surface
  • Cover and magnets:Install the cover and magnetic elements by gluing them to the base

Can a hidden tile-integrated socket or switch be replaced if it is damaged?

Yes, a socket or switch can be easily replaced in case of damage. Contact us and we will tell you how to place an order for only the mechanism you need. Please note that mechanisms are not sold separately, only by arrangement

Do sockets and switches meet the standards of different countries?

Switches: Compatible with international standards and easily integrated into the system.
Sockets: European Type F (Schuko) standard.
Please note: Type F sockets are not compatible with US electrical systems.
Thermostats: Designed for European standards and not compatible with US systems due to technical differences.

Are installation materials included with the sockets and switches?

No, installation materials are not included. You can purchase the required tools and materials in our Tile Cutting Tools collection.

Can I combine switches and sockets in one system?

Yes, you can combine up to 4 modules in any configuration within one system.

Can the tile flush electrical system be adjusted after installation?

Yes, the system can be adjusted after installation without removing the tiles.

Which materials are Edplit tile-integrated sockets and switches compatible with?

Compatible with tiles, porcelain stoneware, and natural stone.
For other materials (such as chipboard, MDF, or drywall), compatibility depends on installation conditions. Please contact us before placing an order
