Visible, bulky, and always sticking out – traditional wall-mounted towel hooks interrupt the clean geometry of tiled walls, even in carefully designed bathrooms. As more interiors move toward flush surfaces and integrated solutions, exposed hardware often becomes the only element breaking the visual continuity.

EDPLIT hidden towel holders solve this problem differently. Instead of mounting onto finished tiles, each hidden towel holder is integrated beneath the tile during installation. Once finished, the tileable towel hook becomes part of the wall surface, remaining almost invisible until activated. Press the tile once to extend the holder, then press again to retract it flush with the wall.

What Is a Hidden Towel Holder for Tiled Walls?

The hidden towel holder is a concealed push-button mechanism installed beneath the tile during the tiling process. Unlike conventional wall hooks mounted onto finished tiles, it becomes part of the tiled surface itself. When retracted, the holder remains almost invisible. When pressed, it extends only as far as needed to securely support a towel before retracting flush with the wall again.

The concealed mechanism is integrated into the wall structure, allowing the towel holder to become part of the tiled surface rather than a surface-mounted accessory. This makes it suitable both for new bathroom projects and for upgrading existing tiled walls. The system is compatible with ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles, natural stone, making it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial interior projects.

Compatibility

Just like our flush buttons, exhaust fans, or hidden electrical system for tiled walls, the hidden towel hooks become part of the tiled wall rather than stand out as separate accessories. When the time comes, you just slightly press it to activate the hidden towel holder push button mechanism. This, in turn, extends the hook only as far as necessary to securely hold a towel.

How Does It Blend Into The Wall?

The secret to the invisible look of the tileable hidden towel holders is the way we integrate them into the wall. It’s not because of the mechanism but the installation principle:

  • The concealed body is installed inside the wall, either during tile installation or as an upgrade to an existing tiled wall.
  • Inside, a precision push-button mechanism controls the movement of the holder. The concealed mechanism is designed for walls with a minimum construction depth of 65 mm and supports tile or stone finishes up to 20 mm thick, allowing it to integrate with most modern wall assemblies used in bathrooms and wellness areas.
  • A single press extends the holder for use. The second press retracts it completely into the wall cavity.
  • The visible front is made from the same tile that covers the wall, allowing the mechanism to blend into the finished surface instead of appearing as a separate accessory.

The result: the push button towel holder is never a separate accessory but a part of a clean, uninterrupted tile surface. For the best result, we use tile cutting tools for hidden towel holders, ensuring the most accurate tile insert and keeping the tile pattern uninterrupted.

Standard Hooks VS Tileable Towel Hooks

As it’s been said above, one of the key benefits of tile integrated towel holders is the seamless transition between the design element and the wall surface. But there’s more to it. See below.

Beyond appearance, tile-integrated towel holders are designed to provide the same everyday functionality as conventional wall hooks. The mechanism is engineered to support loads of up to 20 kg, while the recommended working load is 10 kg for everyday use. This makes it suitable for towels, bathrobes, and other lightweight bathroom accessories without compromising the concealed installation concept.

Requirements

Where It Makes The Most Sense

At EDPLIT, we know the typical scenario: you’ve invested in top-notch tiles, planned all layouts, and a minimaluxe bathroom. The last thing you want is a bulky hook ruining the design. Our innovation is here to keep the focus on the room design (not the accessories in it) in:

Minimalist bathrooms. Concealed hooks preserve clean, simple lines by staying virtually invisible when not in use.

Premium interiors. Hidden towel holders integrate seamlessly into tiled walls, preserving expensive finishes in both new and existing bathrooms.

Designer tile layouts. Concealed holders keep continuous textures, stone veins, and geometric patterns visually uninterrupted.

Flush interior concepts. With the mechanism hidden inside the wall, the holder complements other flush-mounted elements without adding visible hardware.

SPA-style bathrooms. Concealed towel hooks reduce visual clutter while providing convenient functionality whenever needed.

EDPLIT hidden towel holders combine concealed installation with everyday functionality, allowing tiled walls to remain visually uninterrupted while providing convenient access to towels whenever needed.
